BAMT graduates host children's television show

BAMT graduates Callan Warner and Jack Kelly have been reunited on the set of the brand new children's television show, CROCAMOLE, which aired for the first time last week on Channel Eleven and airs weekdays on the network at 9.30am.

Callan plays the role of Truffle, an inventor chef, and Jack operates a crocodile puppet named Croc.

"We're so proud of both Callan and Jack," says Head of BAMT, Su Wilkinson. "They're both extremely gifted young men and to see them on our television screens each day now showing the nation what they can do is very satisfying indeed."

Jack commenced his training at BAMT in 2011, during which time he took part in BAMT productions such as PRYDON PAIRS, HONK and BYE BYE BIRDIE. After graduating in 2012, Jack was employed to take on the title role in Harvest Rain's production of JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH at QPAC.

"My time at BAMT set the framework up for my early career," says Jack. "It not only taught me about the type of performer I wanted to be on and off the stage but it also gave me countless valuable, hands-on experiences I would never have had the opportunity to take part in if I had of tried to go it alone. BAMT gave me the confidence to start strong and smart in my industry."

Callan began training at BAMT in 2012, and during his time in the course he performed in BAMT productions of BYE, BYE BIRDIE and CHICAGO and he also participated in Harvest Rain's production of BLOOD BROTHERS. On completing the course in 2013, Callan was one of four BAMT graduates chosen to take part in the Harvest Rain industry placement program, where he enjoyed a year's worth of professional employement in Harvest Rain's 2014 productions of GUYS & DOLLS, CATS and SPAMALOT.

"Both Callan and Jack are so deserving of this opportunity" says producer and BAMT founder, Tim O'Connor. "They are both outstanding performers, who both came to BAMT straight out of high school and really found their feet. This is just the beginning for them!"

Congratulations, Jack and Callan! We're proud of you!
